January 2026 goals reflection:
Every monthly sub-goal I set aligns with one of the top 3 main goals for 2026.
So let's review January and see how it went, plus some thoughts on this. Based on this I'll set my February Goals and why they matter to me.
Goal 1: 85kg + 24 gym sessions
Succeeded! Currently standing at 84.2kg and did sports 25 days out of the month.

Goal 2: 3 meetups + 4 coffee chats
Failed! Didn't go to any meetups and only had 2 digital coffee chats.
To fix this in February I will pick 2 meetups I really want to go to and set the goal to only go to those 2, and instead of aiming for a coffee chat a week I'll set an input goal rather than an output goal — meaning my goal will be asking 5 people a week for a coffee chat. This should result in the desired outcome.
Goal 3: Publish 17 LinkedIn posts
Failed! I published 0. I'm not happy about this one. I don't really care about not publishing the number of posts, but I want to put time aside each week to write content to improve my writing, so I need to figure out how to solve this. I'm thinking of a Saturday afternoon writing ritual or something like that.
Goal 4: Bachelor's thesis 90%
Sort of succeeded! Will finish this week, got blocked a bit by the feedback cycle but happy with the progress.
Goal 5: $12k saved up
Sort of succeeded! Standing at like 10.5k — reason being some of the payments I was expecting in Jan will be processed the first week of Feb.
